About Don Miller

Don Miller is a retired teacher and coach, recreational farmer and now writer. Growing up on a small farm in the Indian Land area of South Carolina, near the textile towns of Fort Mill and Lancaster in the 1950s, has given Miller a unique perspective on life and his Southern roots.  Teaching and coaching forty-five years haven’t hurt either.

He now resides in the “Dark Corner” of South Carolina in the foothills of the Blue Ridge, in an area known to be a moonshine capital of the South.  Broken stills clutter the stream heads around his home.  He continues to search for one still that might be in operation.

Miller has self-published six books that may be ordered or downloaded through Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/Don-Miller/e/B018IT38GM

Writing under the pen name, Lena Christenson, Don has published two romantic adventures with paranormal twists.  They may be ordered through Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/-/e/B07B6BDD19

He also maintains a blog, “Ravings of a Mad Southerner,” at https://cigarman501.wordpress.com

  1. Coach Miller:

Not sure if you remember me – Bill Truman (Mauldin High School class of 82). Just found this blog during my lunch hour and haven’t been able to stop reading!! Just wanted to reach out to you and let you know I’m still around. I’m a Senior Systems Analyst for Wellman Advanced Materials in Johnsonville, SC. Thanks again for all the great memories of those baseball teams at Maulding. I’ve always cherished them!!

  2. Thank you for visiting my blog. When I read that you have a blue heeler, i thought you must be Australian and hiding out somewhere in Tasmania. However, I gather you live in the southern states of America.
I am looking forward to readding your posts.
    Best wishes,
    Rowena
